Women staying in abusive relationships for years. This is heavy on my heart today. (768 hits)
Domestic Violence is a horrible thing. It comes in many forms, including emotional, mental, verbal and physical abuse. If you are out there and feel this could be you, talk to someone. No one deserves to be abused and/or violated. Everyone deserves to be respected, appreciated and loved. Demand your respect, seek help, leave if you must, but make a plan first, if given the time. Life is short enough, no need to allow someone else to shorten it even more. How much can one person take. Emotional and mental abuse can kill you just as fast as the phsyical abuse. Material things, including a beautiful house, is not worth a life. Material things can always be replaced. Believe in yourself. Know that their are other people who care about you and love you. Also know that you are not the only one going through this horror. Try joining a support group, or seek out professional help. Tell your family, tell his family, tell the world. Save yourself. If you have children, think about how this is affecting them. If you do not want to save yourself, at least save your children. Pray pray pray, but remember, God helps those who help themselves. Get some help now!
Powerful information. How do you stop the cycle? It seems to go through generations.

Thanks for writing this blog. Many woman are victims of this type of violence, yet don't have the voice to speak out. You were in a terrible situation, being abused physically, emotionally, and mentally. You are out now but many women & men experience this horror everyday. Thank you for supplying this valuable information and giving a voice to those who couldn't speak out
