The Employer Assistance and Resource Network on Disability Inclusion published "COVID-19 and Job Applicants and Employees with Disabilities: Emerging Practices to Employ and Protect Workers." This policy brief examines intersecting issues related to the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and the COVID-19 pandemic. It provides guidance for employers to support the employment, health, and safety of all job applicants and employees, including qualified individuals with disabilities. It also recognizes that Title I of the ADA does not interfere with employers following advice from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and other public health authorities on appropriate steps to take relating to the workplace.
The Employer Assistance and Resource Network on Disability Inclusion (EARN) released its August 2020 newsletter. Featured are profiles of CVS Health, EY, and Merck, discussing how these companies consider the needs of employees with disabilities in their responses to COVID-19. Also highlighted are success stories of two individuals who participated in ODEP's Workforce Recruitment Program, and more. Read the EARN newsletter. https://askearn.org/news-events/newsletter...
