BlackkKlansman : Nominated Spike Lee, Best Director and two others Black Panther: (Walt Disney Pictures) Nominated for Best Picture 6 others.
The nominees are finally revealed for potential Oscar winners. The news released on Tuesday, January 22, 2019 with the movie BlackKlansman's Spike Lee up for Best Director along with original score and original song.
However, Black Panther, staring Chadwick Boseman is one of its first animated Black hero movie. This movie has a filled rack with being nominated for Best Picture with 5 others nominations! Nominations including: Production Design, Costume Design, Sound Editor, Sound Mixing, Original Score and Film Editing.
It's history in the making already, and since February is Black History Month it would be perfectly appraised to have these nominees make history at the 91st Academy Awards. The Academy Awards will air on ABC on February 24, 2019. Check your local listings for time.
