3 Reasons Why Sweating is s*xy (3653 hits)

Sweating is s*xy

We got it all backwards when it comes to sweating.

We think it’s a disgusting bodily process, when really sweating is absolutely s*xY!

Check it out…I was dripping up a storm in my place in Thailand, and even as a Certified Transformational Nutrition® Coach, I still didn’t want to sweat. I know how s*xy it is for my body to sweat. However, at that moment I sadly realized I still had a negative association with sweating. Even being raised in Riverside, California where it gets HOT HOT, I still want to be “comfortable” and not perspire.

I started to think, wow…because of technology these days, we’ve become so comfortable, that we just messed up our bodies. We aren’t use to being in extreme weathers and try our best to stay in that sweet spot—not too hot, not too cold.

So, it’s no surprise that our bodies are not used to working and getting rid of toxins that are naturally supposed to get out of us.

When we go outside and enjoy the sun, we’re supposed to sweat! It’s part of the healing benefits of the sun.

When we see sweat as so disgusting, nasty, and messing up our hair. It’s no wonder we’re worried about the sweat spots on our clothes or people touching our sweat in fear they would ridicule or judge us.

Having all these negative thoughts attached to sweating, when it isn’t like that at all. It’s just a natural process. It’s just sweating. It just is.

3 Reasons Why Sweating is s*xy

1. Helps Eliminate Heavy Metals

Heavy metals can build up in the body, such as lead, mercury, arsenic and cadmium. They’re carcinogens that are toxic and cause several health and developmental problems. These heavy metals are present in water, food, dental amalgams, and air. So, sweat them out!

2. Helps Eliminate Hormone-Disruptors

Hormone-disruptors in plastics called Bisphenol A (BPA) and phthalates are in everything. Phthalates are used in cosmetics, personal care products, cleaning products, or other plastic and vinyl products that contain them. Bisphenol A (BPA) is widely used to make clear plastics, but is also used in cash register receipts, water pipes, electronics, and eyeglass lenses. Another reason to avoid plastics as much as possible and get your sweat on!

3. Helps Eliminate Blackheads and Acne

Sweating activates the skin pores to open and release all the dirt and grime that has built up inside of them. So, bye bye blackheads and acne and hello to clearer and s*xier skin. Just remember to always wash-up before and after a sweat session.

Sweat Challenge

1. Change your mindset

Sweating isn’t bad, it’s just sweat. Who cares? No need to add negative energy into it. Let it be. Get happy about it, and maybe want to sweat some MORE! It’s s*xY! We’re already sweating, so might as well go all out instead of trying to stop it :)

2. Sweat MORE

We use to sweat A LOT and on a REGULAR basis, but now we’re lucky to sweat much at all. Do some lifestyle changes. Don’t be turning on the AC in your car or house all the time and instead allow your body to work it. Really get into your exercises, so you’re truly sweating. None of that pretty exercise business :P

How will you be sweating more to help rid your body of toxins? Let me know in the comments below!
