Yesterday, on Saturday, February 4th, the Archdiocese of Atlanta ordained 12 men into the Permanent Diaconate. Please join me in keeping them in your prayers of thanksgiving for these men who answered the Lord's call.
Our own parishioner, Reverend Mr. Brad Young was among those ordained. Congratulations Deacon Brad who has been assigned to serve our Cathedral community!
Deacon Brad will preach his first Masses at the 10:30 am and 12 noon today followed by a reception in 1/3 Kenny Hall. May the Lord bless Deacon Brad, his family, and his ministry here at the Cathedral. of Christ The King.

Recently, a letter from Archbishop Gregory was mailed to all previous donors to the Archbishop's Annual Appeal. He is asking for continued support of the many important programs that help thousands in our archdiocese each year. The goal for the 2017 appeal is $8,000,000 and the goal for our parish is $489,200.
We thank you for your support of Christ the King Cathedral and the Archdiocese of Atlanta. In just two years, we have gone from missing our goal by $20,000 to exceeding it by 20%. The number of parishioners supporting the Archbishop's Annual Appeal has almost doubled. Your commitment to stewardship has help the archdiocesan Church carry out the critical services and ministries that have an impact beyond our parish boundaries: educating our seminarians, supporting our retried priests, providing catechesis to our children and protecting the rights of the unborn.
