Read this story: Another Reason Why Black Women Need to Realize Entrepreneurship As A Way Out Of Poverty (704 hits)
Ladies, I wanted you to see this today. I was determined to post this and so you all can join me in the conclusive decision that black women need to be in charge of their own financial freedom and destiny and not depend on the government anymore.
This story was on the front page a couple of days ago. I saw it when I walked into 7 Eleven for my morning coffee. When I saw the headline and then the picture of Jamille Canady, I already knew what this was all about and I wanted to show you ladies why we as a subculture, as a group of people, why we must at least try to get ourselves out from under the dependency of social services. I am not condemning Social Services at all. Hell, I used to receive assistance from them as well. But unless we take the steps to financial independence, we' will always be in the mindset of asking the government for a handout. They give up crumbs or sloppy seconds instead. Ladies please, think about it: why did Monique Caradine show us that as black women, our wealth asset worth was only $100?!? Compared to white women's $25,000?!? What does that show us? What does that tell us? How do you feel about this? Doesn't this alone want to make you want more and do more to secure a better future for yourselves and your children???
