It wasn't so cool, and it's been removed. . .
Monday, June 27, 2016 The American Red Cross released a new poster on pool cool and pool rules that had to some undercurrents that appeared racist. The post was an illustration cartoon of children swimming with arrows that pointed out "cool and not cool" rules for pool safety. The definitive was all the children noted as "not cool" had arrows that were pointed at Black children. However, arrows pointed all activity by White or other children of color were defined as "cool"
Many complained it seemed racist, and this prompted an apology from the American Red Cross. Since then the poster has been pull off; and will be released later as another application is being developed with a cooler view.
