The World Heritage site at Petra in Jordan has revealed another one of it's mysterious secrets. Recently a satelite scan by a drone discovered the hidden monument hidden in plain site. Archaeologists are eager to continue with more research of the discovery. The image taken by the drone showed a 184 ft by 161 ft platform with an interior platform that was paved with flagstones, lined with columns on one side and a gigantic staircase descending to the east. A smaller structure suggests the edifice could be more than 2, 150 years old. The entire structure is around the length of an Olympic size swimming pool and twice as wide. Excavations have not begun on the site, but archaeologists were able to to estimate that may have belong to the city's early years.
