Outraged...
A toddler accidentally falling over a rail into a lodging of a large gorilla sent chills down his mother's back. Through it all the child was saved, but the gorilla life was not. This moment in time took quick thinking and the main goal was to save a child's life. Although many animal right activists may have wanted the gorilla's life saved by taking other steps to save the toddler zoo officials at the Cincinnati zoo did what they thought was best at the time by killing the gorilla. The Cincinnati zoo's gorilla named Harambe struck a nerve as what was recored seeing him drag the small toddler out of a pool of water. The action resulted in taking out the 17 year gorilla. The incident took place on Saturday, May 28, 2016 when the mother made a frantic outcry to help her 3 year toddler. Since then the news of the encounter went viral causing grief for the gorilla, and some disturbing slants to the mother claiming she was over-reacting. Mixed views hit social media, and threats to harm the mother spread. However, zoo officials clearly stand by that protection of the three year old was the right thing to do. The toddler suffered a few bruises and scraps but is reported in good condition.
