College Freshman Killed In Shooting At HBCU (804 hits)

An 18-year-old freshman college student was killed and another person injured Friday in a shooting at Texas Southern University in Houston, according to a report from ABC13.

A university spokesman said the shooting was reported today at 11:30am at the University Courtyard Apartments.

Houston Police now have two suspects in custody and are seeking a third person.

The HBCU campus was lockdown until late afternoon and classes have been cancelled until Monday. University President John M. Rudley said shortly after the shooting that guns are too “easily accessible.”

This the third shooting incident on the TSU campus in the past two months, and the second at this apartment complex.

The Box Houston contributed to this report.
