What's The Purpose of Drive Thru Service? Isn't It Suppose To Be Convenient & Faster Than Going Inside? (605 hits)
I went to McDonald's drive thru yesterday and waited almost 10 minutes before ordering at the kios because of the slow moving line up and told the attendant after ordering that the line was inconveniently long. I suggested that I should have a small order of fries due to the inconvenience.
She quips with some lame excuse about how they are doing their best and that they can't give me a free order of SMALL fries. Oh but you know JeniFa, right? I wasn't deteared. I asked for the manager who was unapologetic and tells me that I waited some odd number of seconds in line to receive my order. Of course, I corrected him and told him that this doesn't include the quene before I got to the order kios.
This ignorant manager tells me, "We don't just give away free stuff"! Oh no he didn't! I'm glad I took my receipt because on the back is a survey that I let him know that I would be filling out about the service. As I was pulling away, I realized that I hadn't gotten his name so I parked and went inside. There he was. If I wasn't a civilized Black woman, I would have whooped him. (Thank you Jesus)
Needless to say, I asked him for his name for which he refused to give me his last name. Can you imagine? I told him that he needed to learn 'customer service'. I couldn't wait to fill out my survey and in doing so, I left my number and entire name (first and last unlike this so called manager) because I expected a call back. Come to find out, I got to print a coupon for not only a free order of fries but a Medium drink!
