Diaspora of Women Building Sustainable Communities
On the Indonesian island of Java, the people of Jakarta are restoring the forest they need to thrive.
Outside the city, Java’s largest tracts of remaining rainforest are protected in two mountainous national parks: a rich forest ecosystem that provides the primary water catchment for over 20 million people living in five cities, including Jakarta, Indonesia’s bustling capitol.

Why name women as goddesses?
Amaterasu Omikami represents ethereal soft energy of light and balance. As we create communities that connect consciousness with the earth. Great economic development has sprung forth while the Japanese goddess of harmonious existence remains in the hearts and minds of its people. She represent rice a staple of nutrition, 8 milllion is her number and the desire of this community to achieve in members as we work together to save the earth.
Ishtar whose temple is at Byblos, holds the duality of mother and warrior, and it is this representation that speaks to our inner soul, strength and love for our planet. Her home is the world the Diaspora of Greece, Egypt, Syria. Infusing us with her creativity, she is mother earth giver of life and sustainability.
We live in times that can regrow our wisdom through technology. We turn inwardly to the creativity and respect due to all living things and this earthly beauty.
Finally we call on Tibetan Green Tara, still acknowledged in Buddhism. This Goddess has a passion and drive to protect, and leap over obstacles, to protect our spirit as women to endear each other, to teach and together build a legacy for mankind, again. She came to life from one teardrop.
"Change will not come if we wait for some other person or some other time. We are the ones that we've been waiting for. We are the change that we seek." Barack Obama, Speech Feb. 5th 2008
