What are the choices of a young brainy smart geek have when he's surrounded by gang members. That's all depends how popular he wants to be. Malcolm will be faced with choices to belong, or to discover where he truly wants to be which is college or selling drugs. As he's invited to a party that may determined to make him "D O P E" which is acceptable among gangs, he's has a lesson that a geek like himself may find knowledge is a lesson to learn about street life and survival in tough Inglewood community called "The Bottoms." The movie has some comical humor, but is set with some real life situations of breaking out of a revolving door in a tough neighborhood setting. What can be a promising outlook, may see the young man Malcolm to find another path to being accepted is not always in ways of a bright future. Some reviewers think it's worth a look see...
