The exploration of the final frontier is being tested by 3 who took to the stars on Friday, March 27, 2015. Astronaut Scott Kelly along with Cosmonauts Mikhial Kornicko and Gennady Padalka to live aboard the space station. Kelly and Kornicko will be living in space for a period of 1 year, while Padalka will spend 6 months. NASA explains that this experiment is to collect data of how humans may react to long term space life and the affects upon the human physical, mental and emotional changes. Kelly is the first American to be chosen to living in space for this long period said that he plans to take along a journal of the experience and to be totally honest in in logging. The team will be closely watch by the earth bound team of any changes that may occured by living on the space station for the 1 year term. Kelly is the twin brother of retired astronaut Mark Kelly who is married to the former US Representative Gabrielle Gifford.
