The Eugenic Side Effect of Birth Control (512 hits)

During the period of the slave trade till the abolition of slavery, black women were forced to procreate at the will of the master or slave owner. The Black female womb was considered an economically high commodity. Former U.S. President, Thomas Jefferson would agree as he is quoted with saying, “I consider a slave woman who breeds once every two years as profitable as the best worked on the farm.” The more fertile a Black female slave was, the more she positioned herself to be rewarded with extra rations, and light labor. Since the early 1960s, this was reversed and black women were subtlety forced to stop birthing babies (powerful, black future generations) by eugenically controlling the Black populous in America.

Early on, American eugenicists believed the poor and African Americans were more fertile than the white and rich. It was believed, the poor and African Americans would outnumber the Nordiac or White.  The only feasible solution to the problem was and remains to be through birth control.

Leading the Negro Project, Margret Sanger, the birth control advocate who passionately desired to rid America of its black population mentioned, “We do not want the word to go out that we want to exterminate the Negro population,” while writing in her book, Woman and the New Race, “birth control is nothing more or less than the facilitation of the process of weeding out the unfit, of preventing the birth of defectives or of those who will become defectives.

In 1978, doctors began administering the drug Depo-Provera A.K.A. “the shot” or scientifically known as medroxyproesterone acetate, exclusively to women of color.  From 1967-1978 the largest test on humans of Depo-Provera was conducted for eleven years at the Grady Clinic in Atlanta, Georgia on 14,000 women.  Fifty percent of the subjects in this experiment were Black, low-income, and rural women violating Federal Drug Administration (FDA) regulations at the time.  The FDA noted in this period, “never had a drug whose target population is entirely healthy people been shown to be so pervasively carcinogenic…” Although denied three times by the FDA as this birth control was discovered to have caused breast cancer and birth defects in fetuses, in 1992, the FDA approved Depo-Provera and yet according to a study done in 1994, it's not surprising that 84% of Depo users were black women.  Even today, the eugenic side effects are real in that breast cancer affects 20% more black women that any other race...I wonder why?

Depo-Provera Facts (from the manufacture’s warning label):

·         Recommended not to use this drug any longer than two years unless there is absolutely no alternative.

·         No antidote to reverse side effects (osteoporosis, elevated risks of breast and cervical cancer, hair loss, and libido.

·         Side effects can occur long after you have stopped using the drug.

Ladies, know why you do what you do.  Understand that this birth control was never intended as “planning parenthood,” but to subliminally eradicate the black population through this form of eugenics.  It’s simple to me, if you don’t want children, keep your legs closed, mind open, and your maturity of delayed self-gratification in check.
