C N N Breaking News Beloved E S P N Sports Anchor, Stuart Scott Has Died. He Was 49. (680 hits)


Veteran ESPN SportsCenter anchor Stuart Scott has died after a long battle with cancer, the network said today. He was 49.

Scott was on the air 21 years for ESPN, and anchored coverage of NFL and NBA games.

His diagnosis came in November 2007, and ESPN said Scott "went through several surgeries, chemotherapy, radiation and clinical trials to stay strong and ward off cancer for as long as humanly possible."
