PHILLIPINES NEW YEAR'S CELEBRATIONS INJURES HUNDREDS ! (725 hits)

Scores of high powered firecrakers and gun bullets injured at least 400 people at a New Year's celebration in Manila. Thursday's fireworks turned in a screaming of hurt as pain as many persons attending the celebrated new year were suffered with stray bullets which caused hundreds to receive amputations and emergency assistance. Many lost hands or fingers and were wounded. Reports indicated that the percentage of amputations were up to 14 from those reported last year. In previous years at least two people were killed and there were 793 injuries. Despite of the authorities warning against gun usage and dangerous fireworks many continue to use the deadly arsenols among huge crowds.
