YOUR WORLD SCIENCE NEWS DAY 15 NOVEMBER 2014 Anchorage, AL
The most active volcano in Anchorage is awakening curiosities as the mount is spewing it's lava into active bursts. Recently there has been increased activity in spews and clouds of ash. However, scientists are vindicating there is no need of panic since the volcano is not likely to erupt. The mountain of Pavlof is located 625 miles southwest of Anchorage. The nearest population is about 40 miles away. Some residents reported sightings of dark snow mixed with ash. As the mountain is on the low alert of erupting, most scientists in the area agree it is typical of Pavlof's activity. [Photo shown is not Mt. Pavlof]
