BOLIVIA 'S VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN AND YOUNG GIRLS REQUIRES A PREVENTION PROGRAM (660 hits)

Bolivia is facing increased violence on women has attentioned focused on ways to decrease violence of their women citizens. This followed with recent tensions from four young girls who were raped and killed last week in Palos Blancos north-east of La Paz. This was the case of it's kind in a three week period. Bolivia is one of the most abusive places in the world with the highest violence on women and young girls. Increased cases of recent stir involves very young girls four and five years old raped and murdered. This has the Bolivian ombudsman very concerned for the safety of women. According to Bolivia's ombudsman at least 34% of young girls in Bolivia have or will suffer some form of s*xual harassment or abuse. While those arrested for crimes are spent in jail, little is done to protect females youths. The omsbudsman, Rolando Villena said that very little is done by authorities to help protect young girls. Villena also made statements in regard that governments are doing little known cases gone undetected while they nothing to remedy the violence again females.
