By the grace of Almighty God, The Brother Marcus and Sister Cecelia Show is now on and we are welcoming our guests and visitors! Please join us as we address the topic of: "Rejection In Marriage and Relationships: "What are the causes and what is the ultimate cure?" Please listen in because we may have a surprise for you tonight!
Abstract: What happens when the person who you committed to for life rejects you? When the one who said “I do…for better or for worse…til death do us part” rejects you? How do you handle rejection…in your marriage?
Here are a few ways in which rejection can happen in marriage. (1) Material rejection (2) Verbal rejection (3) Physical rejection (4) Emotional rejection
After a number of years in marriage, you may find that the intimacy and love has waned between you and your spouse. Raising a family, working, dealing with family health issues, or even those of parents, can put a real strain on the relationship. It’s no wonder that you may have grown apart. There may also be resentment for things that one or the other have done, making the marriage feel more like co-habitation than what you expected from marriage. Why is rejection one of the worst emotions to experience in marriage? How is rejection a subtle form of abuse? How can our rejection of our spouse be both emotional as well as physical? Why does rejection often come in the form of withholding of s*x. You might not even know you are rejecting your spouse, but the subtle decisions you make are impacting your marriage and your s*x life. What happens to a spouse who is refused s*x on a regular basis? What happens to a spouse that is continually denied one of their most basic needs and pleasures?
