A partial solar eclipse will occur on October 23, 2014. This is the last of a solar for 2014 next until August 2015. The eclipse is scheduled to occur in the late afternoon, or evening hours. Experts advise to never look directly at the sun during an eclipse to prevent blindness.
Here is tip on viewing the eclipse safely:
Punch a hole a quarter of inch into a piece of cardboard. Holding the cardboard with the sun at your back, use that hole to project the image on the ground or on a wall.
Most of eclipse can be seen in the North America portions of the country in the USA. Californians may catch more of the eclipse. However, the one for August 2015 will be witnessed over most of the United States.
