When you think about a sculpture you generally don't have in mind thinking of the presentation displayed by American artist Paul McCarthy. His latest work of art has some of the French being offended. That's if, they're not cracking jokes about the inflated figure sitting in the middle of Place Vendome. To much of McCarthy's surprise he was slapped three times by a stranger when he went to view his inflatable structure. Along with the slapping the stranger shouted.."his work had no business being on the square!" Although McCarthy suffered no injury from the slap attack he admitted he was shocked by it. As far as supporters in the art world; some didn't make fun of the obstacle, and were looking at it with a more creative eye. Some however, gave the work a comparison to a "s*x toy" Others said it was a Christmas Tree according to a French newspaper.
