Ebola and Other Fears (832 hits)

“If it’s not one thing, it’s another.”

I can remember as a kid hearing my mother’s words as she slowly shook her head and looked forlornly into space. FearPaid

Mom was sitting at the kitchen table with my aunt uncle and dad. I could tell they were discussing some family “situation” in hushed tones. I don’t remember what it was, but I do remember the somber, dark mood in our usually happy home. They were worried and fearful about something.

Mom was right. There is always one thing to deal with, after another.

It’s called “life,” and it can be painful at times. However, it’s why we incarnated into these souls on this planet in this time and in this space. We came here to grow. That’s why they call it growing pains.

We grow dealing with challenges not when everything is “Ok.”

These rocky, uncertain times we live in, help us to develop our character and to become stronger by overcoming our fears and difficulties.

Like plants, we grow in the dark, not in the light.
