Memphians were in for a delightful arrival as the plane landed at the Memphis International Airport on Wednesday, September 17, 2014. The special cargo was the visit from First Lady Michele Obama. This special landing took her to visit with the young cancer treated patients at St. Jude. This is her first initial visit to St. Jude but not her first visit to Memphis. Mrs. Obama wanted to make a unique connection to spread the word around of a most prestigious hospital who aid sick children battling with cancers. As her visit finally got started due to a short delay at the airport her presence among patients and parents was worth every moment. Children and parents talked and asked questions of the President's wife and made merry her visit. Mrs. Obama was quite impressed and so were those she met among her visit with the families of St. Jude and its employees.
