Part One Use a good dictionary (not a small pocket dictionary or thesaurus). Locate the definition that applies to the context. Be sure to read the other definitions for understanding. Locate the derivation of the word as to become familiar with its original source as this helps with the original definition of the word. Define the following words, according to Quran, Bible, Hadith, THEM, and THMLF. From these sources, write your viewpoint of the definition.

Be able to answer this question, "What is God's purpose for marriage?" After defining the words marriage, husband and wife, go to the index of the Holy Quran, locate each word and read the verses of each of the Surahs associated with each word.
