"She started a whole new movement, "Linda declared. A movement of women who refused to settle for any and everything. My aunt Delley! Chile!!! She migrated from deep down south and had 7 kids in tow while moving here to Philadelphia. Seven kids!!! Ole Uncle Chuck must have thought she was soft honey. She found out that he got a woman pregnant and that he was running around all over town she silently got her stuff together!! Went to school and got her 1st job at Bell Atlantic Phone Company. She worked that and in one year was moving out. Few years after that she purchased her 1st home in Wynnfield. She gone and past now but she lead a trail honey!!! Nifeesia saw the excitement and energy almost busting out of Linda from sharing her family and history.
After her act the Parker Women would never be the same and she was the 1st courageous enough to leave," Linda said.
All I could do was smile as she continued to share.
My coworker shared traces of her family today and the story was courageous and brave enough for me to pin it down today!!
