Thank you Robert; Those are acts of love...even when the situations are dangerous --the love will overthrow evil and the good will not be overcome, but the evil will end with good.

dangerous, safe, peaceful, evil, good?
what's in a definition?
"Do not be overcome with evil, but overcome evil with good."
"be overcome with evil"? - does that mean one already has evil and should not be overwhelmed by self evil?
I think that The first beginning is to try to understand what E V I L and what G O O D are......
Rationally, I agree with you especially with the self-evil. Everyone has a self-evil as well as self-good. I don't think it has to do much which defining them, but more to do with which one a person chooses to make. A choice to apply evil, or good in their own actions will be the result of the overcome of their thoughts.
One can be overcome with evil if they aren't thinking to do what is good using the self- evil of themselves much to often they become doers of evil things.
I think the presentation of both are within self.
The outcome is which one is selected by the person to demonstrate will be the one that is "overcome" by them.. They both are strong components of the human emotions.
The Good, which God is most pleased has the "obedient mind and compassionate heart." This is what God is wanting in a person obedience of His Word.
As far as to evil one will know the definition; if he is true to God "evil has no place to continue working iniquity"
God does not prefer EVIL most of all.
Defining them, God has given knowledge of this. Choosing them, God has knowledge of what is in the heart.
This is the way I understand the "overcoming of evil with good" Do what God says. God is Good.
