Boko Haram Kidnaps Dozens Of Boys From Nigeria In Latest Raid (384 hits)
Boko Haram is still snatching children from their families as the militant group kidnapped a large number of boys this week. First they came for the girls, now Boko Haram hs shifted their focus to young men. The Islamic extremist group abducted dozens of boys and men during a raid in Northeastern Nigeria on Sunday, Reuters reports. Witnesses claim that the fighters were dressed in military and police uniforms as they loaded the men into their trucks and burned houses to the ground, leaving 97 people unaccounted for.

“They left no men or boys in the place; only young children, girls and women,” a witness named Halima Adamu told Reuters. “They were shouting ‘Allah Akbar’ (God is greatest), shooting sporadically. There was confusion everywhere. They started [packing] our men and boys into their vehicles, threatening to shoot whoever disobeyed them. Everybody was scared.” Survivors from the raid also claim that Boko Haram soldiers killed six old men during the attack and wounded five others.

In Reading this I noticed that "military and police" in military and police vehicles "shouting Allah Akbar"......Raided, Killed and Kidnapped in Northeastern Nigeria
I believe it might be necessary to contact the Reuters reporter "embedded" with the Military and Police under the Presidential Authority of GoodLuck Jonathan for clearer information on what she/he saw......
I think you have a very good point as it does appear that military and police are different entities. They aren't one and the same in Nigeria. The police are local and the military is federal. Perhaps this poor eyewitness is near sighted and was watching from a far.
