Mork and Mindy Actor, Comedian Robin Williams Has Died. He Was 63. (1660 hits)

Robin Williams, an Academy Award-winning actor and comedian who imbued his performances with wild inventiveness and a kind of manic energy, died on Monday at his home in Marin County, Calif. He was 63. The county sheriff’s office said in a statement that it “suspects the death to be a suicide due to asphyxia.” A further investigation was under way. The statement said that the office received a 9-1-1 call at 11:55 a.m. saying that a man had been found “unconscious and not breathing inside his residence.” Emergency personnel sent to the scene identified him as Mr. Williams and pronounced him dead at 12:02 p.m.

His wife, Susan Schneider, said in a statement, “This morning, I lost my husband and my best friend, while the world lost one of its most beloved artists and beautiful human beings.” She added: “As he is remembered, it is our hope the focus will not be on Robin’s death, but on the countless moments of joy and laughter he gave to millions.” Mr. Williams, who was raised in the Detroit suburb of Bloomfield Hills, Mich., and in Marin County, attended the Juilliard School in New York before breaking through as a hyperverbal comedian and a star of the 1978 ABC sitcom “Mork & Mindy,” playing a giddy alien unaccustomed to life on this planet.

What? He didn't seem he was the suicidal type. Never know what people are going thru. Fame and rich lives are also so gloomy behind the scenes.

He had Clinical Depression and that's what it will do left untreated... make one want to end the pain of living. It's not easily understood by people not suffering from the illness, but those that suffer from Clinical Depression know all too, well about the "black hole".

Without antidepressant medications you're left to spiral deeper into that pit of despair and heart ache... Don't get me wrong, meds can be helpful but not all antidepressant meds work for some people and the saddest truth to this unhappy trouble is that most antidepressants take at least 4-8 weeks before one can see results ... if they start to work all. That's what happened in Pastor Rick Warren son's case. I know that he's with God in spite of what most believe about suicide.

I must testify to the goodness of God. His ways aren't like our ways and His thoughts aren't like out thoughts for His are HIGHER than our thougths and HIs Ways are, too! Clinical Depression is more than mind over matter and its an illness like Heart Failure that must be treated. Thankfully for me, I was able to be placed on Cymbalta 60 mg once a day, adhere to exercise regimen, and with the help and grace of God through prayer... I've found got joy and peace in the HOly GhOst!!

Yes it is... I'm curious about the coroner's report... Depression is no joke... And doctors still have a long way to go with researching the right meds for the patient.

I know that's right! Just finished speaking with someone that called and although I know the person meant no harm... Depression is no laughing matter no matter how much money a person earns! The medical community as well as the general public has a long way to go concerning overcoming the stigma of Mental Illness so that education can truly begin.

BIA, an African American Family site, to shatter Misconception

After reading the WORDS of the Medical Professionals

1. He was insane
2. He was an abuser of Illegal Drugs and Alcohol most of his Life
3. He KILLED himself!

No American Family should experience any of these Undisciplined, Harmful, and Inhumane traits.

Judge not, less ye be judged ... Besides, it's not kind to speak ill of the dead. What I know for sure is that we all have "demons" to fight although they may be different... This sweet human being brought joy through laughter to the World and he will be dearly missed. I pray for his peace. May his spirit and soul be forever soar free of the fires of condemnation and brimstone that he experienced here on the earth.

WHAT’S BREWING

ROBIN WILLIAMS’ WIDOW: HE HAD EARLY STAGE PARKINSON’S Susan Schneider, Robin Williams wife, said in a statement: “Since his passing, all of us who loved Robin have found some solace in the tremendous outpouring of affection and admiration for him from the millions of people whose lives he touched. His greatest legacy, besides his three children, is the joy and happiness he offered to others, particularly to those fighting personal battles. Robin's sobriety was intact and he was brave as he struggled with his own battles of depression, anxiety as well as early stages of Parkinson's Disease, which he was not yet ready to share publicly.” Michael J. Fox has said he was “stunned” by the news. [HuffPost]
