Vanessa Williams Opens Up About Being Molested At Only 10 Years Old (848 hits)
Actress and former Miss America Vanessa Williams gave a powerful testimony on Oprah’s Master Class about her experience being molested by an 18-year-old girl when she was only 10-years-old and how it affected her psychologically. The traumatic incident occurred the summer before she entered 5th grade when a much older ‘cool girl’ performed oral s*x on her while she was visiting with her friend’s family’s friends in California. “She was one of the cool girls,” said Williams. “She made you want to feel like you were a grown-up.” One night when Williams and her friend were sleeping, the older girl snuck into their room and went straight for Vanessa.
“She told me to lie down on the floor. She took my bottoms off and she said, ‘Be quiet,’” Williams says. “She went down on me.” Vanessa says that she couldn’t really understand what was happening, but knew it was wrong. “I had no idea what it was, but I knew it felt good,’ she says.’I knew it felt good, but was also something that was not supposed to be happening.” Although she knew it was wrong, she never told her parents about what happened because the moment she stepped off the plane she learned of a family tragedy and didn’t have the courage to bring it up. “I saw my dad’s face and his face was gray. And I just found out that his brother had died,” she recalls.
Vanessa should be very proud that her experience didn't turn her into a person that wanted relationships with females instead of males.

Helen,
We she said she was promiscuous so we can't assume it wasn't with same s*x relations or both. Perhaps she did experiment with other females, but decided on male relationships in the end.
I was molested by a 16 year old neighbor girl that was also a distant relative at the age of 5. During the Summer, she'd ask my mom she could babysit me. It was absolutely terrifying for me as a child. She would take a bubble bath and have me watch her babe while she got off. She'd dry herself off and then put baby powder on her vag and make me "go down" on her. I hated the taste of the Shower to Shower powder or baby powder.
I'm sure she must have been at one time a victim and then became a predator. I saw her at my Aunts wake keeping and she almost peed her pants. I got satisfaction seeing the look of horror in her face.
This is common (molestation) in the Black community. I'm sure 8 out of 10 families have had a molestation occur under their nose by a close family friend or even a relative.
Sure you"re right when you say eight out of ten. I can remember being excluded from secret play because I didn't want girls messing with my private parts. As a child I could see that they were demons.

Helen,
For sure! There is such evil in the world that we can't just believe that Black people are immune from this violence against children.
