A derailed train stopped suddenly in an subway station took at least 20 persons lives. The derailment happened on Tuesday, July 15, 2014 during rush hour traffic. At least 160 people were injured, both with minor and major injuries. In addition, the derailment overturned heavy iron and twisted tracks and carrier cars loaded with rush hour commuters. Some of the trapped accident victims had to wait several hours before being rescued. Investigations said the train trigged and alarm followed by a power surge and caused the train to suddenly stop and threw the rail cars off it's track. Because of the positioning of the location, the accident was difficult to reach by emergency personnel. Many of the people were frantic and disoriented as to what happened. Many who were able ran quickly to emergency exits to escape the twisted metal and havoc of screaming passengers. More than 1,100 people were evacuated.
