When the two teams of Sox played only one did win the game. This game on Wednesday, July 09, 2014 had the Boston Red Sox versus The Chicago White Sox. With Boston needing a win the team aimed at leaving a really red tail win over the white. In the need to have a desperate win it look as if the Red Sox were out of game until the fire started to set them burning. Just when the White Sox were at their best the Red Sox took over within the eight innings when Rookie Mookie Betts changed the game in what's called an infield double! That brought the game alive and also gave the Red Sox a lead.

Afterall of the action the White Sox just were able to make a score. The Red Sox took a brave chance in letting 5 rookies play, but it was the rookies that made off with a winning game. In front of 36,000 fans the crowd was pleasing. The Red Sox greatly needed a comeback after losing 7 of their 8 games. Red Sox Rookie Brock Holt quoted "We were to finish it off which is something we hadn't done lately. So it's a good feeling." Holt singled for the first walk off of his career was elated. So the Red Sox aren't completely out just yet showing a team of rookies become pro's when it really can knock your sox off! Red Sox defeated the White Sox 5-2.
