DEAR GARDENERS:
I've been asked this questions before and it's quite one of those FAQ indeed! Of course, what you want to do about weeds is kill them, get rid of them and keep them away for good. Unfortunately, it's not possible to always keep them away without some effort. Weeds are a common problem for lawns and gardens. The earth has weeds and weeds travels by nature in winds, rains, and fouls as well as animals. You'll find that somehow a weed is bound to find a way to your havests of flowers and vegetable garden.
The best solution is to have lawns treated with professional, and or if you want to do it yourself you can also purchase weed killers that help control weeds in your grass. There are several brand names of weed killers, and some of course works better than others. About a three days before writing this letter I spoke with a Master Gardener who found a product she said worked marvels in only a few minutes! She showed me where she had applied the mixture and I actually saw the weed was pronounced DOA "Dead on Application" Keep reading and I'll give you the products name.
If you're going to de-weed in your flower bed you can get down on your knees and pull away. That's one of the best ways to do it if you're not wanting to hire a professional, or purchase any weed killing product. This process is time consuming and if at all do your best when mowing not to allow grass to overflow in your bed of flowers would help. The work pulling weeds is theraputic only if you enjoy it. Some gardeners don't find it so. I'm one who doesn't so I rather spray and kill weeds. You can decide which is best for you.
