NASA LAUNCHES SATELITE FOR EMISSIONS STUDY (1067 hits)

Early morning launched a satellite by NASA on Wednesday, July 2, 2014. The purpose of the satellite is to collect data relating to emissions in air space. NASA tried launching the satellite earlier, but canceled. Wednesday's launch was successful and the satellite will be recording emissions of carbon missions and it's effect over the earth. The OCO2 is replacing a similar satellite that was destroyed in 2009 will also study climate change and weather conditions. The satellite will collect information in observation for at least two years. OCO2 stands for "Orbiting Carbon Observatory 2."
