WESTBORO BAPTIST CHURCH PLANS TO PICKET MAYA ANGELOU'S FUNERAL (1581 hits)
TOPEKA, Kansas - The highly-controversial Westboro Baptist Church is planning to picket Maya Angelou’s funeral.
According to WGHP, the group asked its Twitter followers for information about Angelou’s services as well as tweeted several hateful messages about the late author, poet and activist.
Angelou was an award-winning author, renowned poet and civil rights activist.
She died Wednesday in her Winston-Salem home at age 86.
Angelou had been reportedly battling health problems.
She recently canceled a scheduled appearance of a special event to be held in her honor.
Angelou’s funeral arrangements have not been announced.
However, Mount Zion Baptist Church in Winston-Salem will hold a memorial service to honor Angelou at 7:30 p.m. Thursday which will be open to the public.
Angelou was a member of the church for over 30 years.
A Baptist Church picketing against a Baptist Church is a house divided against itself isn't it.

LOL...these people talk a good game about picketing the funerals of famous black people, but when have they actually ever showed up to any of the funerals they talked about picketing?
I remember them saying they were gonna picket Micheal Jackson's funeral, Whitney Houston's funeral, and Nelson Mandela's funerals and people were just WAITING for those clowns to show their faces at the funerals so they can go back to Kansas with them re-arranged, they knew better than to show up.
Were these people not so hypocritical, they might find that they had more in common with Ms. Angelou than they realize.
