(April 16, 2014) It's back. March came in like a lion, and it was supposed to go out like a lamb. But now, in mid-April, the cold that gripped the East Coast last month has suddenly returned, forcing the coats we had stuffed deep into our closets after a warm weekend back onto our shoulders. In cities from Maine to Louisiana, temperatures dipped into the 30s Tuesday night, and a repeat is expected Wednesday night. Temperatures will begin creeping back up on Friday, and the Eastern Seaboard will be back in 60-degree territory by the weekend.
