A Russian research ship has been in ice lockdown since Christmas Day. The research team fell into trouble when their research cruise landed them trapped by ice and immovable due to the frozen conditions of the ocean waters which stalled them and kept them prisoner. Although the ship still continues its research mission help from a Chinese icebreaker is due to reach them some time on Friday, December 27, 2013. The icy cold and frigid water has kept them sitting still. The Chinese vessel Snow Dragon well on it's way may be able to assist the stranded team totaling 74 people aboard includes ship workers and researchers late Friday if weather permits. A heavy blizzard also gave no pardon to the ship release on Thursday and stabilized them with sticking out its sentence. Crew aboard have plenty of food and are in little danger other than being stuck on ice lockdown.
Ice...Ice...baby! Maybe they can watch "Happy Feet" while on board. Research has to be watched too! Q-Q
