But I think that Robert is defining Islam and Muslim in the way those words are used in the Qu'ran when it says that Issa al Masih and Abrahim were Muslims and that they practiced Islam. I think it was Maududi who wrote a beautiful piece about how the sun, moon, stars, and all of creation is Muslim insofar as it operates in obedience to the law of Allah. This is off subject, Irma, but I found out last week that a number of the members of my church were upset with me when I scheduled a book signing time at the church, on a Saturday morning. They woman who told me she had been angry and that many others had been angry said it was because they thought I was trying to use the church to make money. I had to laugh inside because I think that in a year and a half maybe 5 copies of my book have sold, NATIONWIDE. Isn't that a trip?! Oh yeah and I will also note that not one member of my congregation came to the signing... not one. How's that for encouraging? LOL
