the parents offended are the guilty parties, but instead of getting their acts together, they get on tv and complain, i drop my kids of to school everyday and it's a damn shame how many of their classmates come to school with their hair not combed or washed, their faces not moisturized, their clothes and shoes are dirty, sometimes they wear no socks or shoes on at all just bedroom slippers or flip flops, there are some trifling ass parents out here, and most of their classmates are left to fend for themselves while their parents are out doing god knows what with god knows who, some parents are too damn lazy to make sure that their kids are bathing in the morning or that they bathed the night before, it takes about 30 minutes for parents to make sure your child is clean and well groomed and has some type of breakfast in their stomachs, if the parents can't fix their kids breakfast in the morning they can at least make sure their kids take a bath and that their clothes are clean, ain't no excuse, no excuse whatsoever

Kim, I used to work in kindergarten and 1st grade and it would break my heart to see how filthy some of the children came to class looking. It would be an everyday thing with some of them. One of the teacher aides used to make two children (they were twin brother and sister in the same classroom) wash their faces everyday before she started teaching. She and I along with the main teacher had put our money together and went to the Walmart to buy them clean clothes to wear. Then we sent the kids home with a small soap, body sponge, talcum powder, toothpaste & brush, hair comb, etc. to teach them basic hygiene (in a child friendly way). And the next day they'd come right back to school in the same unkempt condition as they did before we gave them the clean clothes and hygiene products. Some parents truly don't care. I could understand if the parent was homeless or a drug addict or suffered from a mental illness, but damn I know some drug addicted moms and mentally ill people who take much better care of their child's hygiene than some parents of sound mind do. I bet some of these parents who are complaining about the teacher's note are the same parents who walk around in expensive clothing, everything Louis Vuitton, perfumed and lotioned head to toe, but send their kids to school looking like they fell out of the trash can.
