WOMAN BEATS UP 82 YEAR OLD MAN AFTER HE FENDER BENDED HER CAR (2470 hits)

A 28-year-old Chicago woman is being held on $2 million bail after being accused of dragging an 82-year-old man out of his car and beating him after a traffic accident Thursday night on the South Side, police said.

Sophia Body, of the 8100 block of South Maryland Avenue, was charged with attempted murder and aggravated battery of a senior citizen, police said. Body was ordered held on $2 million bail in court Sunday morning.

A second woman, 38, is being questioned but has not been charged early Sunday.

Authorities responded to a call of a battery in progress in the 900 block of East 79th Street Thursday night in the city's Grand Crossing neighborhood and found the 82-year-old man bleeding from the right side of the head and suffering from lacerations to his back, police said.

The victim told officers he was driving westbound when he was "flagged down" by two unknown females, police said. The man said after he parked to help them, he was "pulled out" of the vehicle and struck in the head and body several times by the women, police said. Some of the injuries were caused by a screwdriver.

A police investigation determined that after the victim accidentally bumped one of the women with his vehicle, Body said on the scene: "Yeah, I pulled his a-- out of the car and beat the f--- out of him," according to a police report.
The owner of a nearby convenience store had video surveillance which they were able to show responding officers.

The victim, of the South Side's Brainerd neighborhood, suffered lacerations to the upper and lower back and bleeding to his head, police said. He was taken to John H. Stroger, Jr. Hospital of Cook County, where his condition had stabilized, police said.

The women were not injured and a screwdriver was recovered from the scene, police said.

People who beat elderly people are no better than those who beat children and animals. Beating on someone who you know is defenseless...I can't count how many times I've seen on the news about nursing home workers beating the elderly people who live there. So sad...

Truth B. Told
i don't even think that she or any other person who has the audacity to beat on the elderly should even get no damn bail, this man could have died behind her abuse

What a horrible thing to do. And to think that two adult women did it or may have done it together? Boggles the mind. They must be completely void of anything like a feminine nature or spirit.
