WOMAN FOUND MONEY IN PACKAGE ON THE GROUND TURNED IT IN, BUT DON'T COME BACK AROUND September 25, 2013 Memphis, TN
A peculiar act of kindness happened when a woman found a package on the ground on the steps of the Criminal Justice center containing almost an amount of four-hundred dollars. Being a good citizen, the women took the money inside and handed it to one of the deputy jailers on duty and left. Only, at another day there she heard a woman claiming to have lost the money, told her what she had turned the money in to the jailer. When they approached the jailer he was questioned and never turned the money in. Instead, he spent on shoes and clothing. After confessing he'd spent the package of money he was dismissed of his duties, and may face theft and other charges. Officials at the Justice Center said that this behavior was non-ethical and that any actions like that of the jailer was not a policy of the complex. As far, as the woman getting her money package back it was not stated in the news story.
