ECONOMIC / TRANSPORTATION UNFAIRNESS RISES PROTESTS IN BRAZIL (401 hits)

Gripped with protesters .....

Thousands of Brazilians protest, burn, march and yell in streets. The country is having a gripping large protest over the dissatisfaction in the operation of its government. A protest also arise of the middle class's economic growth as a failing group has also protestors facing inequality. With the rise of the middle class by 31 million people according o the Council on Foreign Relations from 1999-2009 this group of the wealthy has only added fuel to the protesters movement. According to media reports Brazilians have more than one focus of protests and have many topics of their uprising voices of equality. One major protest however is the rise of higher taxes, poor transportation services, followed with educational and poor commutes in transportation in public bus services. In addition, protest spark from discontent with political institutions which has shown to be corrupt and has not been responsive to the needs or requirements of its citizens. Overall, the people of Brazil state they are tired and blame the government for these situations of woes. The whole issue of protests highlights a failing economy. Now with both the middle class and the poor meeting in the same reasons has found the streets loaded with both poor and middle class leading protests against it's government have marched streets with rivals calling out to the corruption to be addressed. Each day protestors are marching by the thousands and along with the protests of peaceful rallies, are those which make rallies to destruct towns with violence as well. Protests have been going on in about a week.

Strangely not much the government is doing, but some plans to approach the people complaints may have to be addressed soon. Protestors have been sited in more than 100 cities across Brazil. One source of the media notes that the people of tired of crooked politicians and failure of the government to handle terms of jail time since many of them found guilty are still free men. The people are wanting government reform. Each day the protest numbers grow larger, and outbreaks of riots also rise.
