I recieved an email last night from a dear friend informing that Sister Gertrude Ross had passed away at her home in Seattle. The email was sent to me at 10:15 pm Monday. They said the cause of death has not yet been determined.
Sister Gertrude was a former Black Women Connect and BlackInAmerica.com member and a very gifted sister. My heartfelt thoughts go out to her family and all of those who loved her. May Allah be pleased with her.

Gertrude's sister Cheryl asked me to share the following with you all:
Hello,
My name is Cheryl Ross and I am the sister of the late Gertrude Ross. Gertrude departed this life on Monday, June 3, 2013 at the age of 45 years. To all of you paying your respects to my late sister I thank you on her behalf. Funeral services will be private (as requested) and I am currently in the process of getting my sister's affairs together. This will be a difficult time for her family in her Seattle, Washington area and beyond.
My sister Gertrude loved you all and her spirit demonstrated that love. Keep my sister in your prayers and continue to remember her as you know best. She will be missed by all. We love you Sis!
