iRS HEARINGS: NEW CHIEF OFFERS TO RECTIFY AND RESTORE TRUST (477 hits)
YOUR NATIONAL NEWS JUNE 2013 DAY 3 Washington, DC
Newly appointed acting IRS Commissioner Dan Werfel took the seat in front of the Congressional Hearing Committee to bring attention to actions he will be offering to rectify and restore trust into the Internal Revenue Service. Werfel has focused on a full and complete investigation, and even offered an apology to the American people for the actions of one branch of government which showed some inconsistency in operations to be less professional to certain groups. Werfel, also made mention that he didn't not expect to receive any funding from the government. Instead, Werfel wants to get the IRS back on track, and rebuilding trust while finding out more clues and personnel responsible for making decisions that were not along the operation of the branch of government. Werfel appeared confident and focused but failed to give specific details of which conduct he may follow suit. The Committee seemed pleased as plans for additional hearings may bring forth more information and legal action against any guilty parties. Few words were mention about the IRS spending on conferences and a controversial video of an employee line dancing video which was said to cost thousands to make.
