NEW STUDY OF AMERICAN WOMEN : SHE'S THE NEWEST BREAD WINNER! (455 hits)

MAY 2013
DAY 29

More than just a mom, she brings home the bread!

A late study has given a new title to women other than just wife, and mother. The study conducted by the Pew analysis indicated that women are the main bread winner in more than 40% of American households. This study of data was collected from The Pew Analysis of the Census Bureau. This is a dramatic increase of 11 percent since 1960. The report also examined that women in the workforce has grown, and women have indicated growth in education. The study also stated women make up over a quarter of head of the households. In addition the Pew study said that 1 out of 4 wives earn more than married couples.

As to a few pointers of the down sides of the report, the study stated that working mothers with a spouse often find less time in raising their family's children. However, single moms have little choice continue to work because they are the only supporters. Additional views were also stated that working mothers are here to stay and that the traditional stay at home mom though not yet extinct has lost a few candidates for the jobs, mainly because both parents may have to work to stay afloat.

"She can bring home the bacon,
fry it up in a pan!"

Women careers have soared! Opportunities for them are limitless now. To much of the disappointment, I think there will be more women working, but to be in the home is not completely an obsolete thought, some woman want to be stay home moms.
I think that's perfectly fine.
