Last week our desktop, business computer and backup both crashed. This is insignificant compared to what is happening across the country. But it’s important to bring up, because small things can give all of us the most stress simply because they often are under our radar. We may not know why we are angry, stressed or filled with anxiety because of little things that happen to us. However, it’s important to tune into the small things that keep us off balanced, which sometimes include not forgiving yourself.
I remember a week before the crash, our computer didn’t come on right away, and I suspected something was wrong. But, I played with it, and it finally functioned. We have laptops too, so I didn’t pay much attention. Even though it crossed my mind to make sure backups were being recorded properly, and to take the desktop in for a check up, but I didn’t so now we have lost years of precious photos and video.
I did what most of us do. I blamed myself, and I mentally got violent by constantly beating up on myself. Finally, I said to myself. “STOP. JUST STOP! Enough!!!”
