Holi! was celebrated on Wednesday, March 28 in India. The festival is a celebration of Spring. Thousands gather with colored powders, paints and beautiful clothing in the happy colors to represent the coming of Spring. The cultural festival commemorates divine love of the female deity Radha. Across India many participated in dance, laughter and cheering among villages and streets. The Indian Festival of Colors is part of its rich culture and heritage.
The pictures I saw on the web were beautiful! They were extraordinary in shades of colors on their faces and clothing...It was colors EVERYWHERE. So..all festive.
