Times have changed. Join us and step outside the box for a moment. The soul of Xbox soars as high as ever, but the iconic console has a new role. McKenzie Eakin, a program manager for Xbox, talks about how Xbox has evolved way outside the box to become the hub of home entertainment. In her own words, McKenzie addresses evolution and revolution at Microsoft.

We think of ourselves as a scrappy little startup inside the giant.

But Xbox is a real business now. We’ve brought in a lot of great minds from other places in the company who offer a fresh perspective about the broader audience that Xbox is seeking to pull in as we go after the living room. At the same time, how do you broaden your scope without losing that startup-y, deeply passionate core gamer experience?

You’ve got to maintain your core.
