A surprised announcement was released from the Vatican regarding the residing Pope Benedict XVI on February 11, 2013. Sources reported that the religious leader of the Catholic Faith turned in his letter of resignation. The 85 year old Pope noted that he feels its time to let go of his most demanding service. Later, he went on to say that his age and strength was failing at the demands to fulfil the job. He will remain in the oofficial positon until Ash Wednesday as he'll address thousands regarding his retirement. A new Pope will be selected as his final days of service comes to a close. The Pope has been showing some signs of health problems regarding his heart condition and aging physical challenges to carry on the demanding position of the Catholic ministry.
