MEDITATE SUNDAY: FIND A QUIET CORNER & REST A BIT (384 hits)
Greetings to you in LOVE!
It is not uncommon during one's daily living that one can become touched with the mountain of the emotion of weariness and hopeless outlooks. It can be brought on with trials, death, and difficult situations. Even if these are overshadowing you there is a place of rest you can find and the peace that God can only deliver.
As I was in a recovery of a trial I found a little booklet which was given to me by someone I have forgotten whom it was, but when I opened it I knew it served a purpose. So I will occupy it's purpose now as I share with you one of the book's writings:
REST
Are you very weary? Rest a little bit. In some quiet corner, fold your hands and sit.
Do not let the trials that have grieved you all the day Haunt this quiet corner; drive them all away!
Let your heart grow empty of every thought unkind. That peace may hover around you, and joy may fill your mind.
Count up all your blessings, I'm sure they are not few. That the dear Lord daily just bestows on you.
Soon you'll feel so rested, glad you stopped a bit. In this quiet corner, to fold your hands and sit. --AUTHOR UNKNOWN
Therefore take no thought for the morrow; for the morrow shall take though of things of itself. Matthew: 6: 34
It is a marvelous way to rest a bit. To think only on the peace of God and leave all the days troubles away.
Let the words of my mouth, the meditation of my heart be acceptable in thy sight O'Lord my strength and my redeemer-- Psalm: 19:14
